In 1998 he won the Dutch Erasmus Jazz prize and one year later he was awarded the VSB Music Award with his own quartet. He started teaching at the Conservatory of Ghent and Antwerp in 1999. In 2000 he was part of the European Broadcasting Big Band in Norway. Three years later he joined the sextet of Kenny Wheeler. Other bands in which you could see him at work include High Voltage, Bart Quartier Quintet, the Chris Joris Experience and Amina Figarova Septet and for some time he was the permanent trumpet player of the renowned Brussels Jazz Orchestra.
He also regularly performs as a guest musician with pop artists such as Clouseau, Axelle Red, Jo Lemaire, Johan Verminnen, etc.
