American pianist Bill Carrothers began his professional career in the early 1980s. In the two decades that followed he developed into a reputed musician in the world of international jazz.
He has played in just about every important American club: Knitting Factory, Birdland, New York's Village Gate, etc. As a sideman he plays alongside an impressive list of interesting musicians such as Curtis Fuller, Buddy DeFranco, Dave Douglas, Billy Higgins, Lee Konitz, Gary Peacock, James Moody, Toots Thielemans and Bill Stewart.
Our fellow-Belgian Robin Verheyen invited him to his international Robin Verheyen Quartet, with which he realised the CD ‘Painting Space’.
