In 2005, French bass player Brice Soniano obtained a classical degree and a jazz degree at the The Hague Royal Conservatoire (where he was taught by Knut Guettler, Hein van de Geyn, Jean-Paul Everts and Frans van der Hoeven).
As a recent graduate he spent time with the Baka pygmies in the Cameroun rain forest. He has been a full-on musician since his return and roamed the European continent, taking part in various projects. He mainly thrives in improvised/present-day music and avant-garde jazz circles.
In Belgium he is mainly known and has made a name for himself as the sidekick of Joachim Badenhorst, Ben Sluijs and Christian Mendoza, among others.
