Italian bass player Davide Petrocca took lessons with legendary Danish bass player Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen.
His professional career started in the mid-Nineties as part of Charlie Antolini and Bireli Lagrène’s bands. Soon after, he joined the band of New York Jamaican Monty Alexander, who described Petrocca as: ‘Davide Petrocca belongs to the World Top League of bass players!
He has freelanced with other illustrious names such as Hank Jones, Cedar Walton and Randy Brecker. In Belgium he is mainly known for his work with Jazzisfaction and the Peer Baierlein Quartet.
