Biography

Emanuele Cisi was born in Turin (Italy) in 1964. This truly self-made saxophone player was voted Best Talent by Musica Jazz magazine in 1995.

His career has been on the up ever since. He has recorded more than 12 CDs under his own name and can be heard as sideman on more than 50 others. He has performed and recorded with big names such as Clark Terry, Jimmy Cobb, Ron Carter, George Cables, Jack McDuff, Billy Hart, Enrico Pieranunzi, Paolo Fresu, Aldo Romano, ...

In Belgium he is mainly known for his work with the Bart Defoort Quartet.
