French saxophonist Guillaume Orti has been living and working in Belgium for quite some time now, and is a permanent member of the experimental Mâäk collective.

He takes his first saxophone classes when he his 12 and follows master classes with the likes of Joe Lovano, Steve Coleman and Rufus Reid. In 1989 he moves to Paris, where he plays in pianist Benoit Delbecq’s group for a while, alongside names like Malik Mezzadri, Olivier Sens, Yves Robert, Sébastien Texier, ...

His predeliction for experimental music also leads him towards Octurn, with whom he makes a first appearace on our W.E.R.F. label.
