American saxophonist John Ruocco has been living and working in Belgium for ages. As a teacher at the Liège Royal Conservatoire and the Antwerp Jazz Studio (among others), he stood at the cradle of the musical careers of an entire generation of Belgian jazz talents.

In the course of his own career he has played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Art Farmer, Slide Hampton, Joe Lovano, Billy Hart, Toots Thielemans, ... and performed with various radio/TV orchestras in Belgium, Germany and France. He has also been a member of the Peter Herbolzheimer Rhyhtm Combination & Brass for more than 20 years now.

He often performs with various Belgian projects.
