Alongside standard clarinet he often plays the bass clarinet and the - rare - contrabass clarinet and masters tenor and soprano saxophone. He has been leader of his own big band Tous Dehors for ages and is a permanent fixture with the Belgian Trio Grande, alongside tuba player Michel Massot and percussionist Michel Debrulle.
