Description

In October 1997 the Ben Sluijs Quartet introduced their first CD ‘Food For Free’, which was described in the press as one of the best Belgian CDs of that year. Now, after more than 5 years of intense musical co-operation, follows their second album ‘Candy Century’, which was recorded in a very relaxed atmosphere thanks to their profound knowledge of each other and the music.

The result is a very personal group sound with a lot of interaction between the players and influences of the jazz tradition and the avant-garde. The Romantic idea is always present, and the blues strongly integrated.
