Description

Octurn is a semi-big band led by baritone sax player Bo Van der Werf, with a repertoire of contemporary jazz . On their first CD they recorded the epic suite ‘Chromatic History’ composed by Kris Defoort.

The famous instrument builder François Louis wrote in the liner notes : “I was in New York to visit my friend Joe Lovano. Listening to ‘Chromatic History’ in his car he told me : ‘Yeah, François, man. These guys, they sound like a band. They listen to each other man. Great !’ ”. You will agree !
