Deeply rooted in jazz tradition but with ears wide-open for contemporary influences, Octurn performs new compositions written especially for the band by Kenny Werner, Denis Pousseur, Geoffroy de Masure and Frederic Rzewski for this new project.

The music here is again eclectic, always challenging and full of surprises, and the warm band’s sounds feed on urban shapes and colors.

Special guests on Octurn’s third CD are harmonica player Toots Thielemans and pianist Kenny Werner.
