KD (Kris Defoort) is the pianist, composer and bandleader of KD’s Basement Party, whose ‘Sketches of Belgium’ was the first CD to be released on the W.E.R.F. label.

This fine album features the crème de la crème of the Belgian jazz scene : the Aka Moon-trio Fabrizio Cassol (sax), Michel Hatzigeorgiou (bass) and Stéphane Galland on drums, as well as Bart Defoort on saxes and Michel Massot (tuba & trombone).
