Saxophonist Lander Van den Noortgate apprenticed himself with saxophonists Ben Sluijs and Kurt Van Herck and wrote the majority of the compositions on this album. The other compositions were written by pianist Bram Weijters. On tenor sax we find Andrew Claes who, apart from Hamster Axis can also be seen in groups like STUFF., Brazzaville, Go Tell and Cunning Trio. Contrabassist Janos Bruneel won the prestigious Django D’Or last year in the ‘Young Talent’ category and can also be found in numerous projects such as DelVitaGroup, Mathilde Renault Trio and Soo Cho Quartet. Drummer Frederik Meulyzer is also one of the young talents who are active in a large number of projects.

Apart from musical projects such as Stray Dogs, The Cumrats and Marcelo Moncada Quartet he can also be seen in action in a variety of theatre productions. The music of this colourful company sounds contemporary, but is irrefutably rooted in tradition and is – as the group name suggests – interlarded with the necessary portion of humour!
