Vibrafonist Jan Nihoul is directeur van de Tongerse Muziekacademie.

Daarnaast heeft hij zijn eigen quartet met bassist Bart De Nolf, pianist Marc Matthijs en drummer Tony Gyselinck. Hij was te horen op ons label als lid van The Chris Mentens Jazz Van.
